Somehow my kids just don’t get enough protein in their diet. Part of the problem is they can’t have peanut butter at school, so their lunch is low in protein. I am concerned that they are not getting enough protein, and they are growing boys, so I decided to see if there was a way to sneak some more protein into their diet.
Protein Shake Recipes For Kids – Finally!
There is no shortage of protein shake recipe sites online. In fact, one of my favorites is http://proteinshakesrecipes.net as they have some great Organic Protein shakes and lots of videos that make it easy to follow along.
The problem is, many of the Protein Shakes are not kid friendly. I am looking for protein shake recipes that kids would love (taste good) and parents would love (all natural). I was very excited when I found this video –
If anyone can understand the taste of kids – it is other kids! I showed this video to my kids and they loved it. The idea of a Mango Smoothie that is also packed with natural and Organic protein? That is a win-win! I am sure if the video was an adult making the protein shake, the kids would not have been as excited.
It is funny, just the fact that the kids actually shake the shake, instead of using a blender, is a big deal. My kids loved the idea of shaking up their own protein shake.
The Mango Lassi was great and now we are searching out other protein shakes for kids and will report back as we find more recipes.
